Appearing on the Jim Rome radio show Monday, USC quarterback Mark Sanchez addressed the latest draft report concerning the Browns. WOIO Channel 19 said the Browns would select either Sanchez or Texas Tech receiver Michael Crabtree with the fifth overall pick Saturday.
''If it's the Browns, great, I'll be out there in the next couple days for minicamp,'' Sanchez said of the days after the draft. ''They've showed some interest, just like the other teams. It's all a poker game and they don't want to be too nice and don't want to tell you too much.
''They always say, 'Hey, if you have any questions for us, go ahead and shoot it' and you ask them a question and they kind of dance around it.''
Asked if he had a gut feeling about the draft, Sanchez told Rome, ''I've tried to stop watching TV. Every time I watch I'm going to another team. You never know what's going to happen. All it takes is one phone call or one trade and this whole thing is all up in the air again. I'm trying not to pinpoint it and figure it out myself because I'll never know.
''I'm glad I'm not too caught up in it, I'm not pulling my hair out trying to figure this whole thing out because I never could.''
