Vrabel brags on Rob Ryan
Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was linebackers coach of the New England Patriots from 2000-03 and former Walsh Jesuit and Ohio State star Mike Vrabel played for him for three seasons.
Vrabel, now with Kansas City, is still a fan of Ryan's and looks forward to seeing him Sunday when the Browns visit the Chiefs.
''I can remember being my first year in New England and sitting down and meeting with Rob,'' Vrabel said on a conference call Wednesday. ''I enjoyed the time I got to spend there with him. Probably one of the most passionate coaches I've played for. His sense of humor, but also his toughness and his attitude made it fun to come to work and be coached by him. I've still stayed in contact with Rob and look forward to seeing him Sunday.''
