Browns Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden discussed LeBron James’ return to the Cavaliers during an interview Friday night with NFL Network’s NFL Total Access. A transcript is below.

On how he’s feeling about the news that LeBron James is joining the Cleveland Cavaliers: “It’s a great day in Cleveland.”

On what he has been hearing and experiencing: “It’s been almost overwhelming. I was actually having my football camp when people that were at my camp -- peoples’ parents -- were like, ‘Oh my goodness LeBron’s here. LeBron’s here. LeBron’s coming back home.’ I’m super excited. I’ve been a really, really big LeBron supporter. It’s been kind of tough being a LeBron fan in Cleveland since he left. So now I’ve just been able to chill and post some of my things about being a big fan of him -- it’s going to be amazing.”

On if Cleveland is the center of the sports world and how it feels: “You could feel it everywhere especially after the draft too. We got [Justin] Gilbert and we got [Johnny] Manziel, then the city was buzzing. Now, LeBron’s coming back. We got Andrew Wiggins. The whole city feels really good about themselves. I know the players and everybody. I know I do. It’s time for us. There’s no reason why we can’t win games out here with the Cavs and for the Browns.”

On who would win a match-up if LeBron James lined up at WR: “See I’m just going to have to do what I have got to do.”

On if he would recruit LeBron James to play for the Browns: “If he wants to come, I’d welcome him with open arms.”

On if he would give up jersey No. 23 to LeBron James: “He might be the only person I could give 23.”

On if he’s going to go to Cavaliers games: “I’ve been going to Cavs games now ever since I’ve got here. I called my Cavs connect and told him, ‘Listen, nothing changes. We’re going to the same schedule of every game I need to be on the floor because LeBron is my boy.’”

On who wins a championship first -- the Cavaliers or the Browns: “LeBron makes things happen pretty quickly, so we’re going to have to get to it. I say it’s going to be a tight fight. I know me and Manziel will be pushing to make that happen before. That’s why LeBron is coming here to bring a championship to the city and I’m trying to do the same thing.”

On if the buzz and energy from LeBron James can transfer to the football field: “Even if LeBron hadn’t have come, I felt really confident about what we got going on as far as the Browns organization and the way the direction that we’re going. This is just nothing but add-on to it. This just boosts peoples’ spirits up. I think at the end of the day, what we have with the Browns we feel like we can games, we feel like our defense is very, very, very strong. With [Johnny] Manziel and [Brian] Hoyer fighting for the quarterback position, Ben Tate at running back -- we’ve got a lot of different moving positions on offense. It could be special for us. I think with this team, we’re going to have a really big push.”
