Browns quarterback Jason Campbell will soon find out whether his future will be in Cleveland.

Campbell is due a $250,000 roster bonus Thursday, according to ProFootballTalk.com, and he’s scheduled to make a base salary of $3 million next season. The Browns obviously could avoid paying the roster bonus by parting ways with Campbell, 32, and such a move would not be a surprise.

“Right now, I'm just anxious to know what the Browns are going to do,” Campbell told ESPN’s Josina Anderson today. “If I'm going to be back, I'd like to be able to prepare for that. If I'm not returning, my agent can get to work on my next move.”

Last year, Campbell signed a two-year deal with the Browns as an unrestricted free agent. He began the 2013 season as a backup, but injuries and poor performance thrust him into the starting lineup. He went 1-7 as a starter, completing 180-of-317 passes (56.8 percent) for 2,015 yards and 11 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He posted a passer rating of 76.9.
