The Browns signed running back George Atkinson III and cornerback Marcus Burley.
The franchise announced the moves Monday after players reported to team headquarters for the start of the voluntary offseason workout program.
Atkinson, 24, was an exclusive-rights free agent. Burley, 26, was a restricted free agent.
Atkinson appeared in all 16 games with the Browns last season after they claimed him off waivers from the Oakland Raiders. He played special teams, compiling six tackles and eight kickoff returns for 137 yards, until the season finale, when he ran seven times for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Burley appeared in 12 games with the Browns last season after they claimed him off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks. He had five tackles, one pass defensed and two special-teams tackles.To read more or comment...

The Browns will be on Monday Night Football this summer, albeit for a glorified practice.
They'll host the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants before visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears in the preseason. The NFL unveiled the exhibition opponents of all 32 teams Monday.
After the Browns open the preseason at home against the Saints sometime between Aug. 10-14, they'll host the Giants at 8 p.m. Aug. 21 in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football. It'll be the first preseason Monday Night Football game in Cleveland since 1992
They'll visit the Buccaneers sometime between Aug. 24-27 and the Bears sometime between Aug. 31-Sept. 1. It will be the 14th consecutive season in which the Browns and Bears have met in the preseason finale.
