Cavs Wine & Gold Scrimmage Returns Oct. 3
The Cavaliers announced Wednesday that the Wine and Gold Scrimmage will return to the University of Akron’s James A. Rhodes Arena for the sixth consecutive year. The intrasquad game will tipoff at noon, Oct. 3 and include Fan Fest, which will feature interactive games and activities for the entire family. The scrimmage represents the first time that fans will be able to see Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James together. Vouchers redeemable for a single ticket will be available. Vouchers will be available at First Merit Bank branches in Summit, Cuyahoga, Portage, Geauga, Lake, Stark and Wayne counties beginning Monday. A limit of four vouchers will be available to those 18 years and older. They may be redeemed at the University of Akron box office or Quicken Loans Arena box office. Seating is limited and tickets are available on at first come, first serve basis. Getting a voucher isn’t a guarantee of getting a ticket.

Cavs: Green is Signed
It was a mere formality given the NBA's rules for rookie contracts, but the Cavs today announced that second-round choice Danny Green.
Per league rules, terms weren't announced.
The Cavs took Green with the 46th overall pick in this summer's NBA draft out of North Carolina where he averaged 9.4 points on 46 percent shooting and 4.1 rebounds during his career.
He participated on the team's summer league team in Las Vegas and averaged 8.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in five games - three of them starts.

Leon Powe Remembers Playing with LeBron
Some might actually be surprised just to know how small of a world it is. When he was in high school LeBron James and Leon Powe played together on the same AAU and ABCD Camp teams.
Powe said he recruited James to play on his AAU team out of Oakland, Calif., but eventually his team was accused of cheating.
Cavs to Add Leon Powe?
Yahoo Sports is reporting that pending a medical exam, the Cavaliers will sign power forward Leon Powe.
