Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters named to All-Rookie first team; Tyler Zeller named to second team

Dion Waiters was named to the first team All-Rookie Team on Tuesday and Tyler Zeller was named to the second team. The league's 30 coaches voted on the award. They were asked to vote for five players for the first team and five for the second team, regardless of position.

Waiters received 21 first-team votes and eight second-team votes, while Zeller received three first-team votes and nine second-team votes. 

Waiters averaged 14.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.0 assista and a steal in 28.8 minutes per game. He ranked second in scoring among rookies, fourth in assists and fourth in steals. He was named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for February.

Zeller averaged 7.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks. He led all rookies (minimum 70 games) in offensive rebounds (2.1), ranked second in defensive rebounds (3.6), second in blocks and seventh in scoring.
