Jawad Williams finally accepted the Cavaliers' qualifying offer and signed to return for a third season with the team, the Cavs announced Wednesday.
Williams, who was a restricted free agent, was extended an offer of a little more than $1 million at the end of June. He searched all summer for a better deal, but couldn't find one. He is expected to compete against Jamario Moon and Joey Graham for the vacancy at small forward.
Williams, 27, averaged a career high 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game last year.
