Cavs fall to the Heat 96-95 in last home game of the season

By Ryan Lewis Published: April 15, 2013

Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers had a chance at the end but ultimately fell to the Heat 96-95 on Monday night.

Irving had four points in the final minute and had the ball with the Cavs down one and 13.9 seconds on the clock. Irving drove to his left and went up for a shot just past the free-throw line but had it swiped away by Norris Cole as he was going up.

Irving finished with 16 points, eight assists and two steals. Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters each had 16 as well.

Miami played with essentially only its bench and was without the services of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and others. Six Heat players finished in double figures.
