Cavs hammered by Bucks 121-84 for sixth consecutive loss
CLEVELAND: The Bucks made eight consecutive 3-pointers in the first half outscored the Cavs 20-1 over the first 4 1/2 minutes of the second quarter to hand the Cavs their sixth consecutive loss and eighth in nine games.
Kyrie Irving had 29 points and five assists, but did not play in the fourth quarter after spraining his shoulder earlier in the game. Irving made all six of his 3-point attempts, but the Cavs couldn't defend the perimeter against a Bucks team that shot 61 percent in the first half and 57 percent for the game. The Bucks finished with 32 assists and just six turnovers.
Tristan Thompson had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Alonzo Gee had 19 points for the Cavs, who suffered their second-worst home loss in team history. The worst was a 39-point defeat at the hands of the Bulls earlier this year.
The Bucks scored 99 points by the end of the third quarter and coach Byron Scott left all the starters on the bench for the fourth quarter.
