Cavs in Brief: LeBron James Selected Player of the Month
LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference’s Player of the Month for December, the second consecutive month he’s won the award. James led the conference in scoring with 28.6 points per game and, in the process, dished out 7.6 assists per game (second in the conference for the month), grabbing 7.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals (good for fourth) for December. More importantly, he helped lead the Cavs to a 14-3 record in December, including their most road wins ever in a month – seven – as a franchise. The league selected Kobe Bryant Western Conference Player of the Month.
Cavs waive Karl The Cavs waived guard Coby Karl Wednesday. Karl, the son of former Cavs coach George Karl, saw little time on the court. His departure leaves the Cavs with 14 on the active roster, giving them flexibility should they want to add a player or make a trade.
