Cavs lose late lead again, fall to Heat 109-105
MIAMI: Dwayne Wade scored 15 points in the fourth quarter and the Cavaliers lost to the Miami Heat 109-105 on Sunday after leading late in the fourth quarter for the second time in as many games here this season.
The Cavs rallied from a pair of 20-point deficits. After trailing by 22 early in the third, thie Cavs rallied to take an 81-80 lead entering the fourth and led by eight before Wade and LeBron James took over.
Dion Waiters scored 26 points and Kyrie Irving had 17 points, but shot just 6 of 16. Irving was 1 of 5 in the fourth quarter.
James had 28 points and eight assists as the Heat remained the league’s hottest team and extended their winning streak to 11.
The Cavs led most of the fourth quarter here in November before losing the game in the final minutes. They led Sunday 97-89 on a 3-pointer from C.J. Miles with 5:16 left, but the Heat outscored them 20-8 over the game's final five minutes. Miles scored 19 points off the bench.
