Cavs players Omri Casspi, Manny Harris and Tristan Thompson to take part in LeBron James' "Homecoming Tour" on Dec. 1 at Rhodes Arena
NBA stars Kevin Durant and Chris Bosh and Cavs players Omri Casspi, Manny Harris and Tristan Thompson will join LeBron James’ “Homecoming Tour” game in Akron on Dec. 1 at Rhodes Arena, James’ marketing firm confirmed Friday.
The Beacon Journal reported earlier this week that top overall pick Kyrie Irving would also be part of the game, but a source close to James said Friday night that Irving had another commitment and is unable to play.
Heat teammates James and Dwyane Wade, New York Knicks guard Carmelo Anthony and New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul are committed to playing in all four of the “Homecoming Tour” games across the country. They will be joined in Akron by James’ Heat teammates Bosh and Norris Cole (who played collegiately at Cleveland State), the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Durant, and Memphis Grizzlies star Rudy Gay.
Many of the players, including the Cavs’ Casspi and Thompson, are represented by Creative Artists Agency, the powerhouse firm that also represents James and constructed the event.
Tickets range from $40 to $160 and are on sale now at the InfoCision Stadium box office or by calling 1-888-99-AKRON.
The remaining list of participants in the Dec. 1 game (subject to change): Houston Rockets guard Jonny Flynn, Los Angeles Clippers guard Randy Foye, San Antonio Spurs rookie Cory Joseph, Sacramento Kings center Jason Thompson and Detroit Pistons guard Terrico White.
