Cavs recall Christian Eyenga
The Cavaliers have recalled Christian Eyenga from the NBA Development League and he will be available for tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Eyenga appeared in 15 games for the Erie BayHawks (13 starts), averaging 12.3 points and 4.7 rebounds. Over his last three games, he averaged 17.0 points and 7.3 rebounds.
The Cavs drafted Eyenga in the first round in 2009 because of his raw athleticism. Cavs coach Byron Scott wanted him to focus on his defense while at Erie, and Scott was pleased with the reports he was getting. The Cavs could use Eyenga, particularly if Mo Williams (hip) and Daniel Gibson (thigh) are unable to play tonight. Both missed Saturday's loss to the Chicago Bulls and will be game time decisions again tonight.
