Cavs return to losing ways
Two nights after ending the longest losing streak in sports history, the Cavs went back to work on starting another with a 115-100 loss to the Washington Wizards. It was the first road win of the season for the Wizards, who enered 0-25.
Antawn Jamison had 21 points and J.J. Hickson had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavs, who have dropped 37 of their last 39 games. They never led in the game, falling behind by 17 in the first and by as much as 25. The Wizards had 95 points after three quarters.
Nick Young had 31 points and rookie John Wall had 19 points and 14 assists, falling one assist shy of equaling his career high. Young dribbled the clock out, smiled and heaved the ball in the air in celebration before pumping his fist when it was over. Prior to the game, Young called this “one of those games you can’t lose.”
