Cavs rookie guard Kyrie Irving out vs. Clippers with concussion
Cavaliers rookie guard Kyrie Irving has been ruled out for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Clippers because he suffered a concussion Tuesday night against the Miami Heat.
Ramon Sessions will start tonight in Irving's absence. Irving is averaging 18.0 points and 5.1 assists per game this season.
Irving took a knee to the head during the fourth quarter against the Heat, according to the Cavs. He experienced a headache after the game that worsened Tuesday night and during pregame activity tonight.
There is no timeline for Irving's return. His status is day-to-day.
