Cavs sign Eyenga
The Cavaliers finally signed a player today. This one had no choice.
Swingman Christian Eyenga, the final pick of the first round in the 2009 NBA draft, signed with the Cavs today and will come to training camp with the team. Eyenga, 21, spent last season in Europe. He got sick around the end of December and didn't play as much as the Cavaliers would've liked, but the team loves his athleticism.
Eyenga's deal will be around $2 million total for the first two years. The Cavs hold options for the third and fourth years under the NBA's rookie pay scale.
In five summer league games, Eyenga averaged 11.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 29 minutes a game.
