Cavs to re-sign Manny Harris to second 10-day contract
Manny Harris will re-sign with the Cavaliers this morning for another 10 days, a team source with knowledge of the situation confirmed. Harris' first 10-day contract with the club expired Thursday.
Harris made one appearance, playing only six seconds, during his first 10 days with the team. The Cavs had four games over the last 10 days because of the All-Star break. They'll play six games over the next 10 days.
After this second 10-day contract expires, the Cavs must sign Harris for the remainder of the season (and pay him guaranteed money) if they wish to keep him.
Harris spent all of last season in the Cavs organization, but was released during training camp this season. He is the second player the Cavs have signed to a 10-day contract. They signed Ben Uzoh last month, but did not renew him after his first 10 days.
