Cavs will select no lower than seventh in NBA draft
CHICAGO: The Cavaliers finished the regular season 21-45 and tied with the New Orleans Hornets for the league's third-worst record.
That means a drawing will be held at the league office on Friday to determine the draft order in case neither is chosen in the lottery.
As for the draft lottery, the Cavs and Hornets will divide the 275 chances set aside for teams with the third and fourth-worst records. Each team will get 137 chances and the league office will decide who gets the leftover combination.
The Sacramento Kings began Thursday also tied with the Cavs and Hornets, but won their finale at home against the Lakers.
The Cavaliers can draft no lower than seventh in the June 28 draft.
