Final: Magic 103, Cavs 87
The Cavs set a new team record with their 20th consecutive loss, 103-87 to the Orlando Magic on Sunday, surpassing the old record of 19 set during the end of the 1981-82 season.
The Cavs surrendered 38 points in the paint to the Magic in the first half and trailed for all 48 minutes in losing their 23rd straight on the road -- also a team record that continues to grow. They've lost 30 of their last 31 games.
Rookie Manny Harris had 20 points in his return to the starting lineup, the only starter in double figures, and J.J. Hickson grabbed 11 rebounds, but went scoreless in the game. Samardo Samuels had a career-high 16 points off the bench (12 during garbage time in the fourth quarter) and Daniel Gibson left with a strained left quad muscle in his leg and didn't return. His status for tomorrow night's game against LeBron James and the Miami Heat remains questionable.
Orlando's Dwight Howard had 20 points and 20 rebounds despite sitting the fourth quarter and the Magic finished with 46 points in the paint.
