AUBURN HILLS, MICH.: The Cavs trailed by 50 points entering the fourth quarter and shot just 34 percent from the floor in their 116-77 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, which ties for the worst loss this season.
Antawn Jamison was 0 for 10 and Lester Hudson was 2 for 10 for the Cavs, who have dropped 14 of their last 17.
Brandon Knight scored a career-high 28 points for the Pistons, who scored the first 16 points of the third quarter to turn a 23-point halftime deficit into a 77-38 rout. Knight's dunk just before the third-quarter buzzer extended the lead to 100-50.
Tristan Thompson had 12 points and 13 rebounds and Omri Casspi had 11 points for the Cavs. Casspi was starting in place of Alonzo Gee, who was a late scratch with a sprained ankle.
