Gameblog: Cavs at New Jersey Nets - Abridged Version
Cavs 111, Nets 92
Mucho problems with a small thing like an Internet connection. Second time in a week. Joy.
Anyhoo...If anyone watched this game and felt a little underwhelmed - welcome to the club. It was workmanlike and not even close to offering anything spectacular - except a Cavs win.
The Cavs continued to play decent defense as they held the Nets to just 39 percent shooting on the night. The box score will read that Brook Lopez scored 21 points on J.J. Hickson. That is indeed the case, but Lopez will be going to his domicile with more than his share of bruises.
Hickson held his own offensively, but got help defensively as he often found himself looking at multiple bodies on him. Offensively, the Cavs again played efficiently. How efficient? LeBron James got booed for not being stylish enough on two breakaway dunks.
