It was a mere formality given the NBA's rules for rookie contracts, but the Cavs today announced that second-round choice Danny Green.
Per league rules, terms weren't announced.
The Cavs took Green with the 46th overall pick in this summer's NBA draft out of North Carolina where he averaged 9.4 points on 46 percent shooting and 4.1 rebounds during his career.
He participated on the team's summer league team in Las Vegas and averaged 8.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in five games - three of them starts.
Some might actually be surprised just to know how small of a world it is. When he was in high school LeBron James and Leon Powe played together on the same AAU and ABCD Camp teams.
Powe said he recruited James to play on his AAU team out of Oakland, Calif., but eventually his team was accused of cheating.
