Gibson calling for Cavs win over Heat
Daniel Gibson believes the Cavs can win every game they play. So it was no surprise when he went on The T.Ocho show today and called for a Cavaliers victory over LeBron James and the Miami Heat on Dec. 2.
"I'm going out on a limb and going to say that Cleveland is going to bring that game home," Gibson said on the show, which airs tonight at 10:30 p.m. on Versus.
Gibson is friends with Bengals receiver Terrell Owens, who co-hosts the show along with Chad Ochocinco. Gibson met Owens through mutual friend and former Cav Damon Jones. With the Cavaliers playing in Cincinnati tonight for the game, it was only natural to have him on the show.
"That was good for TV," Gibson said of the prediction, which Versus was promoting as Gibson guaranteeing a Cavaliers victory. "In all honesty, going into a basketball game, we feel like we're going to win every game we play. That game is no different."
Gibson said both Owens and Ochocinco have a future as journalists after retiring.
"With those two guys, there’s never a dull moment," Gibson said. "They’re going to keep the comedy coming and they’re not going to hold back on the questions, either."
Owens took a shot at Browns coach Eric Mangini on the show's premier two weeks ago, after Mangini defended the hit Browns safety T.J. Ward laid on Owens' teammate, Jordan Shipley.
"Look who it's coming from," Owens said. "Probably 90 percent of his players don't like him (Mangini) anyway. "I don't like him."
