Heat finishing up at Ritz-Carlton
The Miami Heat's walkthrough at the Ritz-Carlton lasted more than an hour this afternoon. Zydrunas Ilgauskas was the first player to emerge with smiles and handshakes for some old, friendly faces.
LeBron James was one of the last to leave the ballroom.
"Time for me to get some sleep," James said, but Nike reps and high school buddy Randy Mims were waiting on him for an impromptu business meeting in the hotel lounge. The meeting lasted about an hour and James retreated to his room around 3:30 p.m.
Asked if he was ready for tonight, James never hesitated. "Yes sir. I will be, I will be," he said.
The Heat have two buses departing for the Q, one at 5:15 and one at 6. If James wanted to catch a nap, he likely will take the 6 p.m. bus to the Q.
