Hickson, Graham out tonight vs. T-Wolves

By Jason Lloyd Published: December 4, 2010

J.J. Hickson and Joey Graham will miss tonight's game at Minnesota because of a stomach virus. Leon Powe and Jawad Williams will start in their place.

The Timberwolves will be without Michael Beasley, who sprained his right ankle Friday night at San Antonio. He came back to finish the game against the Spurs, but can't play tonight. That means rookies Samardo Samuels and Manny Harris are both active.

"All hands on deck tonight," Scott said. "Everybody has to be ready to play."

Scott chose Powe to start over Antawn Jamison because of Kevin Love's strength and rebounding ability. Jamison has struggled with his shot lately and Powe provides a little more strength in fighting off Love, who leads the league in rebounds and offensive rebounds.

"Power against power," Scott said. "Hopefully LP can keep him off the glass a little bit."

The Timberwolves aren't without their own health issues. Forward Michael Beasley will miss the game with a sprained right ankle he suffered in Friday's loss to the Spurs. Beasley sat out about six minutes in the fourth quarter, and returned to finish the game. But the ankle is too sore for him to play tonight.
