Irving named Rookie of the Month again
Kyrie Irving was named the Eastern Conference's Rookie of the Month after averaging 19.3 points and 5.6 assists in 10 games during the month of February.
Irving also won the award in January and appears to be halfway to the NBA's Rookie of the Year award.
February was a big month for Irving. He was named the MVP of the Rising Stars game during All-Star weekend, scored at least 20 points in six of the 10 games and made 41 of 43 attempts at the free-throw line. Irving's 95.3 percent from the foul line was the best by a rookie in a month (minimum 40 attempts) since Chauncey Billups went 41 of 41 in March 1998.
Sacramento's Isaiah Thomas, the last pick in the draft, won the award in the Western Conference.
