Cavaliers forward Tyler Zeller goes up for a dunk against Orlando's Nikola Vucevic on Monday in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI: Kyrie Irving shot well and scored 22 points and Omri Casspi scored seven of his 12 points in overtime as the Cavs beat the Magic 114-111 on Monday.

Irving broke out of his shooting funk by making 5 of 8 shots and all 11 of his free throws. He began the night shooting just 24 percent in the preseason (11 of 46), although no one seemed overly concerned.

C.J. Miles had 17 points starting at small forward and rookie Tyler Zeller had one of hs better nights with 10 points and five rebounds off the bench. Dion Waiters missed all three of his attempts in the first half, but made a couple of 3-pointers in the second half to finish with 8 points and a couple of assists.

Scott intends to treat the final two preseason games like they matter, meaning Monday night may have been the final time guys on the bubble could get extended minutes. The rotations should get tighter and playing time for fringe roster guys could be limited going forward.

Magic rookie Andrew Nicholson bailed out the Cavs at the end of regulation with a terrible foul. Jeremy Pargo was driving to the basket in the final seconds and the Cavs down three, but Nicholson inexplicably fouled him. Pargo completed the three-point play to send the game to overtime tied at 107.
