Joe Tait was released from The Cleveland Clinic today following a procedure to prevent blood clots from forming in his lungs.
He will spend the next few weeks regaining strength before undergoing double bypass and aortic valve replacement surgery. No timetable has been set for the heart surgery, but right now the thinking is early January, the team said.
Tait is expected back in the radio booth sometime in 2011. He has said this will be his last season calling Cavaliers games.
