Kyrie Irving apologized to fans through his Twitter account Tuesday morning, presumably for skipping the Fan Appreciation Night festivities following Monday's 96-95 loss to the Miami Heat.

All Cavs players were exxpected to stick around on the court after the game to give selected fans their game-worn jerseys and shoes. But Irving sprinted off the court immediately after he was stripped of the ball on the game's final play, preventing him the chance at a game-winning shot.

It was announced in the locker room that Irving had a bruised heel, but Irving disputed that and said he was fine. He said he ran off the court, however, so the training staff could check his foot.

Irving's quick departure forced a Cavs staff member to quickly run into the locker room, grab an Irving jersey and pair of shoes.
