NBA Power Rankings From Around the 'Net

By George Thomas Published: February 1, 2010

The Cavaliers are on an eight-game win streak, had a 12-3 January and a lot of it came without their top two guards - Mo Williams and Delonte West.
A round up of NBA power rankings reflect that.
First from ESPN's Marc Stein, who has the Cavs at his top spot for a sixth consecutive week:

With so much momentum and such a helpful schedule -- Cleveland has just 14 road games left -- methinks we can safely say Mo Williams got hurt at the right time. Only Denver matched the Cavs' 12-3 record in January.
Is there ever a good time to get hurt?  Not really, but if Williams had to go down during the All-Star break isn't the worst time.
Stein's colleague, John Hollinger, returns tLos Angeles Lakers to the top spot based on their jaunt east and strength of schedule.
Lastly, take a look at John Schuhmann's power rankings at which has the Cavs at the top:
The Cavs have won eight straight and just began a stretch of seven straight games at home, where they've won 17 of their last 18. Daniel Gibson is averaging 13.0 points and shooting 47 percent from 3-point range in five games as a starter.
