Notes
* The Knicks came crashing back to Earth this week with tough losses to the Celtics and Heat. They were handled fairly easily by the Heat on Friday and now see how far they still have to go to be one of the elite teams in the East.
* But this Knicks team is still vastly improved over the last two years. Amar'e Stoudemire has made a huge difference, scoring at least 30 points in every game in December and nine in a row before the Heat held him to "only" 24 on Friday. The Knicks had won eight straight and 13 of their last 14 before losing to the Celtics and Heat.
* The Knicks are second in the league in scoring at better than 108 points a game. They're middle of the road in 3-point shooting, but the Cavs are the worst defensive team at stopping the 3-pointer. Opponents are shooting about 42 percent from the 3-point line.
* The Cavs have dropped 10 in a row and 14 of their last 16.
