* It took 17 games, but the Cavs finally have an undefeated starting lineup. OK fine, so Kyrie Irving, C.J. Miles, Alonzo Gee, Tristan Thompson and Andrew Bynum only played one game together, but Miles' return from a calf injury seems to inch coach Mike Brown closer to a rotation he can use for a while.

* Brown prefaced everything this morning with his standard disclaimer: On a team with the Cavs' record, he reserves the right to change the lineup or rotation at any time. But sooner or later, he has to give these guys a few games to start figuring things out. The injury to Miles, plus the extremely limited minutes Bynum was previously allowed made that difficult. Now that Bynum's minutes are pushing toward 30 and Miles is healthy, Brown may finally get a shot at some consistency.

* Speaking of Bynum, Brown said his minutes limit is now up to 25-28 even though he played 30 in the win over the Chicago Bulls. "You guys ratted me out," Brown said. "That’s why when you guys ask me questions a lot of times I don’t say much. When I get honest and tell you my starting lineups and tell you what I really think about the minute thing, then I get caught, then I get called in and they say, ‘No he can only play this much.’" Brown played Bynum 30 minutes in the win over the Bulls, the first time he reached the 30-minute mark, because Brown said he wasn't given a minutes limit on Bynum prior to the game.

* The Nuggets have won seven consecutive games after crushing the Brooklyn Nets (who isn't these days?) 111-87 on Tuesday. This is their third stop on a six-game East Coast trip and they're playing very well under first-year coach Brian Shaw.

* Shaw has given the Nuggets more of a defensive focus than they've previously had, but ultimately this team still looks similar to the version that won 57 games last season. Andre Iguodala is gone, but the Nuggets brought in key veterans like Randy Foye and J.J. Hickson on team-friendly deals. Hickson is starting now that JaVale McGee is injured.

* The Nuggets still love to run and score frequently in transition, which is why Brown's No. 1 message tonight is for his guys to get back defensively.
