CHICAGO: Omri Casspi declined to comment to the Beacon Journal when reached Monday about a Yahoo! Sports report that he has asked to be traded.
One league source dismissed the report as inaccurate.
Casspi has fallen out of the Cavs' rotation over the last month, playing one minute since a Dec. 11 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers. He is averaging 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19 games this season.
Acquired only hours before the NBA lockout began in 2011, Casspi failed to hold onto his starting job last season and has struggled to find a grip on a rotation spot this season.
He is represented by Creative Artists Agency.
