Report: Ray Allen considering Cleveland Cavaliers instead of retirement

By Dan Kadar Published: July 24, 2014

According to a report by the Boston Globe, veteran guard Ray Allen wants to join LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Allen, who has spent the last two seasons with James on the Miami Heat, is a free agent. In 73 games last season, Allen averaged 9.6 points per game. He shot 37.5 percent on three-point shots.

The 19-year veteran has reportedly been considering retirement this offseason.

Allen, 39, has won two NBA titles, one with the Heat and one with the Boston Celtics.
