Waiters will miss Wednesday's game vs. Bulls, Gibson to start in his place
INDEPENDENCE: Dion Waiters' sprained left ankle will keep him out of another game Wednesday when the Cavaliers host the Chicago Bulls. Daniel Gibson will start in his place at shooting guard.
"He needs more time," Cavs coach Byron Scott said. "The swelling has gone down, but there is still a significant amount of soreness in there."
Alonzo Gee will shift back to small forward after starting at guard Monday against the Detroit Pistons. Scott didn't like that lineup, which included Omri Casspi starting at small forward, because the Cavaliers trailed 30-17 after the first quarter.
The Bulls have their own concerns and will be without their starting back court, too. They have been without Derrick Rose all season, now Richard Hamilton is out with a torn plantar fascia in his left foot.
The Bulls scored a season low in points in their 80-76 loss at home to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.
