CLEVELAND: Carlos Carrasco passed his MRI test today, but he has one more exam to take before he can be cleared to pitch again.
""I'm very relieved,'' manager Manny Acta said in regard to the test results. ""By the way he's been throwing the ball and how big a part of our future he is, this is great news.''
Carrasco was removed after giving up two runs and six hits in three innings against the Twins Sunday. He said after the game that the tightness in his elbow was similar to the injury he suffered last year in Triple-A, only this was more noticeable.
But maybe the perceived problem is only a false alarm. Carrasco is scheduled to throw a bullpen on Wednesday.
""If he throws OK, and he feels OK, he'll start Saturday,'' Acta said.
