The Padres made it 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning when second baseman Jedd Gyorko ripped a double to left-center field.

Yan Gomes and David Murphy each walked to start the third inning. Nyjer Morgan then reached on a throwing error by Padres second baseman Jedd Gyorko, which allowed Gomes to score.
