Carrasco back as long reliever

By Sheldon Ocker Published: August 9, 2013

Carlos Carrasco returned to the big leagues today but not as a starter.

The Indians recalled Carrasco to work out of the bullpen as a long reliever. In three earlier stints with the Tribe this season, Carrasco is 0-4 with a 9.10 ERA in six starts.

With the Clippers, Carrasco compiled a 3-1 record with one save and a 3.14 ERA in 16 appearances, including 14 atarts.

To make room for Carrasco on the roster, Preston Guilmet, who spent one day with the club, was optioned back to Triple-A.
