CLEVELAND: Basically, it was better luck next time for Carlos Carrasco.
Carrasco, who was removed after three innings against the Twins on Sunday because of tightness in his right elbow, was scheduled to throw a bullpen today. It never happened.
""He's doing better,'' manager Manny Acta said. ""He was able to play catch with more intensity, but it wasn't enough for him to throw a bullpen. He's going to have to go on the DL.''
As of 5:15 this afternoon, the Tribe had not made that move official. When it happens, Casrrasco will have to miss at least 15 days from Monday, making him eligible to be activated May 10.
He was expected to make his next start Saturday against the Tigers. Now, someone will be called up from Triple-A to make that start and probably more. The probable candidates are Alex White and David Huff.
