The Cleveland Indians have interest in bringing back utility infielder Jamey Carroll, but it is far from a lock that he will return to the Tribe.
The Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim , Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland As, Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and Indians have all had more than passing interest according to a tweet by AOL Fanhouse national baseball writer Ed Price.
The Marlins are also considered a possible landing spot, although Carroll's agent Jonathan Maurer said there are 11 teams who are interested and most have been more aggressive than the Marlins.
If Dan Uggla is traded, they will probably ramp up their efforts for Carroll as well.
The 35-year-old utility infielder played mostly second base and third base last season and earned $2.5 million in 2009, an option year following a two-year, $4 million deal from Colorado in 2007.
