Hafner activated, batting fourth for Tribe today

Indians DH Travis Hafner was activated from the 15-day disabled list Sunday andis slated to bat fourth for the Indians today against visiting Seattle.

To clear a spot on the 25-man Major League roster, the Indians optioned OF Jordan Brown to Triple-A Columbus.

Hafner had been sidelined since July 29th with right shoulder inflammation. In 82 games this season, Hafner is batting .267 (72-for-270) with 17 doubles, nine home runs, 33 RBI and 32 runs scored.

In his his eight games prior to his DL stint, Hafner was hot, hitting .448 (13-for-29) with with three doubles, a home run, four RBI and four runs scored. Further, since June 7th, Pronk has batted .302 (32-for-106) with eight doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI in 35 games.

In his major league debut, Brown batted .226 (7-for-31) with four doubles, one RBI and four runs scored in nine games.
