Hamilton named Ohio Sportscaster of Year

Tom Hamilton, the radio voice of the Indians, has been named Ohio Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Next season will mark Hamilton’s 24th doing Tribe broadcasts pon WTAM 1100. His current broadcast partner is Jim Rosenhaus.

Before coming to Cleveland, Hamilton did play-by-play for the Columbus Clippers’ Triple-A franchise. Before that, he worked in several cities in his home state of Wisconsin, in including Milwaukee and Madison.

When baseball season concludes, Hamilton works for the Big Ten network as a basketball aanouncer.
