Indians CF Michael Bourn taken out of game for precautionary reasons due to left hamstring tightness

By Ryan Lewis Published: May 3, 2014

Indians centerfielder Michael Bourn was taken out of the game in the third inning Saturday night due to precautionary reasons for tightness in his left hamstring.

Bourn had surgery on that hamstring last October and missed the beginning of the season this year with a strain. It has apparently flared up again, and the Indians are trying to be cautious, as hamstring injuries can tend to linger on all season.

Mike Aviles has been put into the game and placed in left field. Michael Brantley has slid over to center field.
