Triple-A Columbus Clippers (6-3) – The visiting Clippers lost to Toledo 5-4...2B JASON KIPNIS went 3-for-5 with a RBI...CF EZEQUIEL CARRERA went 2-for-4 with a run scored...SS CORD PHELPS drove in two RBI...RHP ALEX WHITE limited the Mud Hens to just two runs and struck out seven batters over six innings, but earned a no-decision when RHP PAOLO ESPINO gave up three runs in just 2/3 inning in relief for the blown save and loss.
Double-A Aeros (5-4) – The visiting Aeros dropped a 5-4 decision to Reading...RHP AUSTIN ADAMS earned a no-decision despite giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks in a five-inning outing...RHP BRYAN PRICE gave up five runs in the sixth and seventh innings to take the loss...LF TIM FEDROFF went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI...3B KYLE BELLOWS went 2-for-4 with a RBI...Former Tribe farmhand CARLOS RIVERO went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and Four RBI. The former Aeros SS now plays 3B for the Phillies, who claimed him off waivers from the Tribe during the off season.
High Class-A Kinston (1-6) – The visiting K-Tribe lost 5-3 to Winston-Salem...RF BO GRENNWELL went 2-for-4 with a RBI...1B JUSTIN TOOLE went 2-for-4 with a run scored...LHP T.J. MCFARLAND limited the Dash to just two runs (one earned) on four hits over six innings while striking out five in the no-decision...RHP FERNANDO FLORES was tagged with the blown save and loss in allowing two runs in 1 1/3 innings.
Low Class-A Lake County (5-4) – The host Captains lost 11-7 to Bowling Green when the Hot Rods scored four runs in the bottom of the 10th inning...CF CARLOS MONCRIEF 3-for-5 with a run scored...LF ANTHONY GALLAS, a Kent State product, went 2-for-6 with two RBI and a run scored...RHP TONY DISCHLER allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in just 3 2/3 innings but earned a no-decision...RHP NATE STRIZ took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits in just 2/3 of an inning.
