Here's how the Tribe's minor league team's fared Tuesday:

Triple-A Columbus (69-42) - The Clippers continued to use some late-game magic, winning on a walk-off hit for the third consiecutive game while defeating Norfolk 5-4 at Huntington Park...The previous two games, 1B BEAU MILLS and OF CHAD HUFFMAN had come up with game-winning RBI singles. This time, it was INF LUIS VALBUENA, who slugged a two-out, two-run home run to propel the Clippers to four-game sweep of the Tides...Valbuena finished the game 4-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored...INF CORD PHELPS went 3-for-5...OF JERAD HEAD homered for the fourth consecutive game and went 2-for-4 with  three RBI...RHP JOSH JUDY (5-2, 2.90 ERA) picked up the win despite allowing a run in the top of the ni9nth inning...Starter and RHP ZACH McALLISTER did not receive a decision in giving up three runs on nine hits while striking out five in six  innings.

Double-A Akron (56-54) - Closer and RHP CORY BURNS tied the Aeros single-season saves record at 29 and helped the team snap a three-game losing streak after defeating host Trenton 3-2 at Waterfront Park...Burns, who tossed a scoreless ninth inning, joins former RHP Randy Newsom, who also recorded 29 saves for the Aeros in 2008...RHP AUSTIN ADAMS (8-8, 3.88 ERA) picked up his eighth  win of the season after limiting the Thunder to a run  on three hits and three walks, while striking out seven in five innings...3BF KYLE BELLOWS opened the scoring with a two-run single in the second inning to give the Aeros an early lead...The Thunder responded with a run in the third inning, but OF BEN COPELAND hit an RBI single in the fourth to put the visitors back on top for good...Bellows went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base...SS JUAN DIAZ went 2-for-5 with a double.

High Class-A Kinston (18-18 in the 2nd half) - The K-Tribe failed to take advantage of two Myrtle Beach errors in a 5-3 loss to the Pelicans...RHP MARTY POPHAM (4-2, 4.05 ERA) took the loss after allowing five runs on six hits and a walk in six innings... Myrtle Beach C VINCENT DIFAZIO drove in four of the five runs with a three-run homer in the second inning and a solo homer in the fifth inning...DH JEREMIE TICE hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning, but that was the extent of Kinston’s offense, as he went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI.

Low Class-A Lake County (17-20 in the 2nd half) - The Captains bullpen struggled to keep the squad in the game late as Lake County fell 4-3 to the Loons - just their second loss in the last nine contests...RHP JORDAN COOPER (2-4, 4.79 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings for the Captains. Cooper exited the game with two outs in the fifth and runners on second and third...LHP KYLE PETTER (2-2, 3.71 ERA) came on in relief and gave up a two-run single, then got further into trouble by hitting a batter and walking another as he left the bases loaded...C MOISES MONTERO hit a solo homer in the second inning, going 1-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored...OF LUIGI RODRIGUEZ went 2-for-4 with a walk...INF RONNY RODRIGUEZ went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored...RHP DALE DICKERSON (2-1, 2.28 ERA) contributed 1 1/3 perfect innings of relief.

Short-Season Mahoning Valley (26-19) - The Scrappers struggled to find a big hit in a 7-4 loss to Staten Island, their first defeat in five games... RHP MASON RADEKE (2-0, 4.54 ERA) did not earn a decision, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks over five innings...RHP NATHAN STRIZ (2-3, 2.74 ERA) took the loss in allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in 2 2/3 innings of relief...OF BRYSON MYLES went 2-for-5...RHP GRANT SIDES (0-0, 6.14 ERA) struggled in his sixth appearance of the season, giving up a run on a hit and walk in 1 1/3 innings...Despite three Yankees errors, the Staten Island bullpen combined to allow just one unearned run over six solid innings.
