Indians expect starter Corey Kluber to miss 4-6 weeks

By Sheldon Ocker Published: August 7, 2013

The Indians released more information about starter Corey Kluber's sprained right middle finger this afternoon.

Maybe most importantly, Kluber is expected to miss the next four to six weeks, which means he might miss all but the final 10 games season, which would be two or three starts.

An MRi scan confirmed the nature of the injury. Once Kluber's symptoms disappear, he will begin a throwing program.

Kluber is 7-5 with a 3.54 ERA. And in his past 10 starts, he was 3-1 with a 3.06 ERA.
