Lonnie Chisenhall doubled to open the fifth inning and David Murphy hit a ball down the left-field line that a diving Jason Bartlett couldn't catch, and the Indians tied the game 6-6.

Murphy is now 3-for-3 today with two doubles.

The Twins pushed their lead to 6-2 and knocked Masterson out of the game in the top of the fourth.

He finished the game with seven hits, six runs allowed, five earned, three walks and four strikeouts in three and 2/3 innings.

Scott Atchison is on for the Tribe.

The Twins took the lead right back against Masterson. First, with runners on the corners, Chris Colabello hits a dribbler right in front of Gomes, who picked it up and fired to second base, though nobody was there. That error gave the Twins a 3-2 lead. Plouffe and Kubel then followed with back-to-back RBI singles to make it 5-2.

The Indians had two runners on with one out, but Brantley struck out looking and Lonnie Chisenhall flew out to deep center field.

Through two innings: Indians 2, Twins 2

For the third straight game, the Twins jumped out to an early lead against the Indians' starters.

In the bottom of the second, Justin Masterson hit Trevor Plouffe and then gave up a double to right field to Jason Kubel. Catcher Kurt Suzuki then singled home a run and Kubel scored on a 4-6-3 double play to take a 2-0 lead.

Masterson has already had several full counts and has hit two batters.

The Indians, though responded in the bottom of the second inning. After Michael Brantley singled to center field, catcher Yan Gomes hit a two-run home run to the bleachers in left field off of Twins starter Ricky Nolasco to tie the game 2-2, his second home run of the season.
