Indians need new pitching coach

By Sheldon Published: September 29, 2011

After two years as the Tribe's pitching coach, Tim Belcher is resigning to spend more time at home (near Columbus) with his family.

However, Belcher is not leaving the organization. He will return to being a special assistant in baseball operations, which includes some scouting and advisory duties.

The 14-year major-league veteran and 146-game winner oversaw the development of Justin Masterson, Josh Tomlin and Chris Perez, among others.
