The Indians placed closer Chris Perez on the 15-day disabled list this morning with right shoulder soreness. They recalled Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus.

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster:
Placed RHP CHRIS PEREZ on the 15-day Disabled List with right shoulder soreness
Recalled LHP NICK HAGADONE from AAA Columbus.
Perez left yesterday’s game in Boston in the 9th inning with a right shoulder injury and begins his first career stint on the Major League DL. So far this year he is 2-1 with a 4.32 ERA in 17 relief appearances (16.2IP, 15H, 9R/8ER, 10BB, 18K). He will have an MRI and exam today in Cleveland.
Hagadone begins his third stint with Cleveland (April 12-30/May 7-17) and has posted an ERA of 7.20 with the Indians in 13 relief outings (10.0IP, 7H, 9R/8ER, 9BB, 12K). With Columbus he is 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 7 games, all in relief (9.0IP, 5H, 2R/ER, 9BB, 18K, .156avg). Triple-A left-handed hitters are 0-for-9 off him with 7 strikeouts and batters are 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. He wears #50 and is in Cincinnati.
